What Laburo does, what it does not do, and what remains your responsibility.
Article 1 — Purpose
These terms govern the use of Laburo, an online service that assists with drafting quotes and invoices and with tracking jobs, published by HKBROTHERS LIMITED (Companies Registration Office (CRO), Irlande no. 795844).
Using the service means accepting these terms. They apply to the mobile application and to the website.
Article 2 — An assistance tool, not a mandate
Laburo is a tool. The User remains the sole issuer of, and solely responsible for, the quotes, invoices and documents produced.
In practice, and this deserves careful reading: the User remains responsible for the accuracy of prices, quantities and VAT rates applied, for the legally required wording, for the contractual content of their quotes, and for the compliance of their invoicing.
The pricing proposed from a dictation is an automatically generated suggestion. It may be inaccurate. It must be reviewed and approved before anything is sent to a customer. The Publisher is not a substitute for an accountant, for legal advice, or for the User's own trade expertise.
Article 3 — Access to the service
The service is reserved for business users. Registration requires a valid email address and an active company registration number in the country of establishment. An account is personal; sharing credentials is prohibited.
A free 14-day trial, with no card required, is offered when the account is opened.
Article 4 — What the User undertakes not to do
- Use the service to issue false, fraudulent or misleading documents.
- Upload third-party data without a lawful basis for doing so.
- Attempt to circumvent technical limits, access another company's data, or disrupt the service.
- Resell access to the service or operate it on behalf of third parties without written agreement.
- Automate heavy use of the voice channel in order to circumvent quotas.
A serious breach may lead to suspension of the account. In that case the User keeps access to the export of their data.
Article 5 — Artificial intelligence
The service uses transcription and text generation models supplied by third-party providers to turn a dictation into a draft quote.
- The output is probabilistic: it may contain errors of quantity, description or price.
- Content submitted is not used to train those providers' models.
- No decision producing legal effects is taken automatically: nothing is sent to a customer without the User's explicit approval.
Article 6 — Electronic signature
The service offers the User's customer a simple electronic signature within the meaning of the eIDAS Regulation. The timestamp, the signatory's IP address and the exact content of the signed document are retained.
A simple signature constitutes preliminary evidence. It does not provide the level of assurance of a qualified electronic signature. For high-value contracts, the User remains free to use a qualified solution.
Article 7 — Availability
The Publisher uses reasonable means to ensure continuity of service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, or because of a third-party provider (hosting, model provider, payment provider, accredited platform).
Service status is publicly available at laburo.eu/status.
Article 8 — Data and backups
The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
The User remains the owner of their content. A full export of their data is available at any time from the application. Keeping a copy is recommended: no online service replaces a personal backup of accounting records.
Article 9 — Liability
The Publisher is liable for direct damage resulting from a breach attributable to it. Its liability is capped at the amounts actually paid by the User over the twelve months preceding the triggering event.
Indirect damage is excluded, in particular loss of turnover, loss of customers and reputational harm. No limitation applies in cases of gross negligence, wilful misconduct or personal injury.
Article 10 — Changes to the service and to these terms
The service evolves. Any substantial change to these terms, or removal of a feature included in the subscribed plan, is notified by email at least thirty days in advance. A User who refuses the change may cancel at no cost.
Article 11 — Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law.
Failing an amicable settlement, disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the French courts. The User may resort to consumer mediation where the law provides for it.
